The library at a boarding school in Gonda should be more than a room of shelves, and at Yashmay World School it is a gateway to knowledge, imagination and exploration. Set within our 25-acre, CISCE-affiliated campus, it offers a rich collection of books, digital resources and multimedia tools that support the academic and personal growth of every student from Nursery to Class XII. With wide-ranging genres, dedicated research materials and calm study spaces, the library serves both day scholars and our residential and day-cum-boarding learners. Whether you are losing yourself in a novel, gathering sources for an ICSE or ISC project, or seeking a quiet corner to revise, our library is a true partner in learning.
The senior library at Yashmay World School plays a key role in the growth and practical learning of our ICSE and ISC students. With an extensive collection spanning Vedic scriptures, Science and Technology, English literature, Global Fiction, History and World Stories, it stimulates curiosity, creativity and critical thinking. As a reading and research space at a co-ed boarding school in Gonda, it nurtures a passion for reading and lifelong learning, encouraging students to explore a wide range of subjects and carry out independent research.

The junior library at Yashmay World School supports early literacy through its interactive, talking books. Tailored for our youngest learners, this dedicated space makes reading enjoyable and engaging from the very first years at school. By nurturing a love of books early on, it helps develop language skills and comprehension, while its interactive features build vocabulary and confident reading. It gives every child a warm, joyful start to learning and a strong foundation for the years ahead at our Gonda campus.

A library at a boarding school in Gonda is not a room students visit once a week; it is the quiet centre of a full day of learning. At Yashmay World School — our CISCE-affiliated, co-educational campus for Nursery to Class XII — reading and research sit at the heart of how children prepare for ICSE and ISC. For boarders especially, the library is where structured study, independent enquiry and the simple pleasure of a good book come together, hour after hour, across the school year.
Founded on 2 April 2017 and set on a 25-acre campus, Yashmay offers Day, Day-cum-Boarding and Full Residential options. With a 1:9 teacher-to-pupil ratio, children are known well enough to be guided towards the right text, the right reference and the right question — and the library is where much of that guidance takes root.
A reading and research hub for ICSE and ISC
The CISCE curriculum rewards depth: comprehension, comparison and the ability to build an argument from sources. The library is where those habits are formed. ICSE pupils use it to widen their reading well beyond the prescribed text, while ISC students lean on reference material and periodicals to support project work, extended writing and exam preparation across the sciences, humanities and languages.
Our results reflect a culture in which independent study is taken seriously. In the ICSE 2024 examinations, 7 in 12 pupils scored above 90 per cent; at ISC 2024, 1 in 3 cleared the same mark. A well-used library — paired with a 1:9 ratio and more than 40 laboratories across the campus — gives every learner the room to read closely, research thoroughly and write with confidence.
- Guided and free reading that builds vocabulary and comprehension for ICSE and ISC
- Reference and project research that complements the 40+ laboratories and classroom teaching
- Quiet, supervised space for revision, note-making and extended writing
- A place to develop the enquiry-led, AI-integrated learning habits Yashmay is recognised for
The library in a boarding study routine
For residential pupils, the day has a clear rhythm, and the library anchors its study hours. Between lessons, sport and co-curricular activities, boarders have dedicated, supervised time to read and research — a settled, screen-free environment that makes consistent academic progress far easier to sustain than ad-hoc study at home.
Because Yashmay is a Day-cum-Boarding and Full Residential school, the library supports a study routine that extends beyond the timetable. Younger boarders build the discipline of daily reading; senior ISC students use the same space for self-directed research and preparation for the Access USA pathway, through which pupils can secure guaranteed US university admission from Class 9 — with no SAT or ACT, real university credit via the Access USA pathway through WACE, and savings of up to $100,000.
Drawing on the wider Awadh region — including families from Bahraich, Balrampur, Basti, Gorakhpur and Ayodhya — Yashmay brings together pupils who learn to study, read and research side by side. The library is where that shared discipline becomes a daily habit, and where the quiet work behind strong ICSE and ISC results is done.
